October 20, 2023 – KAILASA Concludes the Sixth Day of Navaratri Celebrations, Commences Durga Puja Festivities
KAILASA marked the conclusion of the sixth day of the Navaratri festivities.
The day commenced with the Rajarajeshwari abhishekam at KAILASA in Sripuram, followed by a grand Chandi Homa and the chanting of Chandi parayanam by a group of initiated priests and sannyasis. Devotees expressed their deep reverence and gratitude by offering the Pratyaksha Pada Puja at the feet of the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism (SPH). The day concluded with the Alankara Deeparathana to Devi Sri Rajarajeshwari and Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara Swami, bringing an end to the festivities of the day.
Moreover, the auspicious occasion of the sixth day of Navaratri also marked the commencement of the Durga Puja. Durga Puja is a major Hindu festival that signifies the triumph of the Goddess Durga over the formidable demon king Mahishasura. This victory represents the conquest of consciousness over negativity, both at the individual and global levels.
The observance of Durga Puja at KAILASA stands as a reminder of the profound spiritual significance and the eternal values upheld by the ancient indigenous enlightenment-centric sciences.
