Introduction to Akshaya Tritiya

In Sanskrit, the word akṣaya (अक्षय) means “never decreasing” or ‘inexhaustible” in the context of “prosperity, hope, joy, success”.

Tr̥tīyā (तृतीया) is the third day of the phase of the moon.
This day is auspicious offering rice, offering money to one’s Guru, donating any kind of new things or vessels visiting temples, offerings of delicious dishes and special offerings of land, to the Guru and His devotees all are good signs of Akshaya Tritiya.


Hinduism is an Avathar worshipping tradition, we worship them as Guru when they are in the body and we worship them and diety when they not in the physical human body.
