Brahmotsavam, a festival divine, marks a ten-day celestial celebration led by Brahma himself. From the preliminary Purvanga Utsavam invoking blessings for success, through the main festival’s divine processions to the Uttaranga Utsavam integrating the deity’s energy back into the Ananda Gandha of THE SPH, this festival is a profound spiritual journey.
Rajarajeshwari Brahmotsavam is not merely a festival; it’s a vibrant celebration of the divine feminine consciousness, honoring the tradition of mother worship unique to Sanatana Hindu Dharma. This grand celebration during the Tamil month of Maasi pays homage to Devi Rajarajeshwari, the royal and supreme goddess, in all her magnificence and grace, fostering a deep connection with the merciful and protecting cosmic energy of the Cosmic Mother.
Devi Rajarajeshwari
Rajarajeshwari, the embodiment of Cosmic Mother Parashakti, reigns supreme as the epitome of divine grace and power. Known as the ‘royal and most supreme Goddess,’ She manifests as the ultimate protector and the merciful cosmic energy that nurtures the universe.
The scriptures describe Her to be seated on a Simhasana, upon Lord Sadashiva – the Cosmic Consciousness whose legs are Lord Brahma, Rudra, Indra and Vishnu. Also She is fanned by Goddess of wealth – Lakshmi and Goddess of Learning – Saraswati. She is depicted to be worshipped by all the 330,000,000 Devas and Lord Ganesha and Subrahmanya.
