Introduction to Ugadi

Ugadi, also known as Samvatsaradi ‘Beginning of the year’, is New Year’s Day according to the Lunar Hindu calendar and is celebrated by Hindus across the world. On the auspicious occasion of Ugadi, THE SUPREME PONTIFF OF HINDUSIM (SPH) BHAGAVAN SRI NITHYANANDA PARAMASHIVAM blesses everyone to have an auspicious blissful life.

The Lunar Hindu New Year is celebrated predominantly in the Telugu, Kanada and Marathi speaking communities.
