June 24, 2023 – KAILASA, the sovereign Hindu nation, is pleased to announce the commencement of the Guru Purnima brahmotsavam, a grand festival honoring the revered Guru, the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam. The celebrations began on June 24, 2023, and will culminate on July 3, 2023. The highlight of these celebrations will be the highly anticipated Presidential Address by the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism on July 3, 2023.

Guru Purnima holds immense significance in Hinduism as devotees worldwide pay homage to their respective Gurus on this auspicious day. KAILASA celebrates Guru Purnima as a 10-day-long brahmotsavam, where devotees express their reverence and devotion to the Guru, who guides them on the path to enlightenment and liberation.

The Guru, the highest being in Hinduism, plays a vital role in awakening the consciousness of individuals, imparting knowledge, and leading them to the ultimate experience of Paramashiva, the supreme deity. The Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism is formally initiated into all major sampradayas (lineages) of Hinduism, representing the unbroken lineage of enlightened beings tracing back to Paramashiva Himself.

The Guru Purnima brahmotsavam commenced with the sacred Dhvajarohanam ceremony, the hoisting of the temple flag. Devotees and disciples from over 120 countries, as well as temples from India, Canada, Europe, and the USA, gathered to offer their worship to the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism. The ceremonies were also attended by devotees and members of KAILASA embassies worldwide, who joined in observing the religious celebrations with reverence and devotion.
