Sri Rama is the epitome of all that is best in the Universe. Purushottama Sri Rama represents a grand narrative of Hinduism, which is why He faces so much opposition. As the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam, puts it, “The taller you are, the more targeted you are because you are seen by more people below.” From His birth, Sri Rama was a target. Despite this, the level of powerfulness He displayed is unparalleled. The highest form of powerfulness is not using your powers when attacked, but waiting for the law of karma to act, without becoming perturbed internally and enjoying the entire process.

Sri Rama is truly extraordinary. He is the most non-controversial Incarnation, revered and worshiped even by Shaivites. In many Shiva temples, the Ramayanam is depicted, featuring deities of Rama and Sita, along with Hanuman. Sri Rama’s life has become a non-controversial grand narrative that exemplifies great virtues, particularly His sacrifice, and powerfulness in the face of all situations. Sri Rama is of a different caliber altogether.

Series of Incarnations

The Puranic accounts detail a sequence of incarnations of Bhagavan Vishnu, each embodying ideals suited for specific circumstances. From the Matsya Avatara (fish), symbolizing a major evolutionary breakthrough, to Kurma (tortoise), who lives in both water and land and from Varaha (evolved body) to Narasimha (half animal, half man), each incarnation serves a distinct purpose. Vamana (short man), Parashurama (a raw, wild man), and then comes Rama, a fully developed, cultured ideal for a stable human civilization. By the time of Rama, human civilization had begun to take shape beyond small tribal settlements. An ideal leader like Him needed to demonstrate the principles of coexistence, showing the strength of dharma and inspiring people to follow it. Sri Rama’s task was the most challenging, as He had to exhibit the splendor of dharma while confined to a human form. He achieved something extraordinary. The Ramayana, narrating His life, is the most widely recounted epic in the history of Bharat, vibrating in every village since His time and continuing as the grand narrative of Indian civilization, the Hindu civilization, Sanatana Hindu Dharma, Purna Purushottama.

Build Power Cognitions

Being attacked is commonplace; it happens to everyone, from beggars to kings. However, the response to these attacks defines greatness. Numerous kings have lost their kingdoms, but only those who responded with dignity have become part of history. Sri Rama’s kingship wasn’t diminished when He lost His kingdom. That is why He is forever revered as Raja Rama. We still worship Him, most fondly in His Pattabhishekam (coronation) scene. Here at Adi Kailasa Nithyananda Sarvajnapeetham, we continue to celebrate the grand Pattabhishekam of Sri Rama Chandra Prabhu as part of the ongoing Rama Navami Utsavam.

How Sri Rama Chandra Prabhu conducted Himself transcends the notion of exile. His sandals ruled Ayodhya in His absence, blurring the lines of exile and sovereignty. Even when divested of His kingdom, His royal essence, built on powerful cognitions, remained untouched. Thus, the Ramayana conveys the message of constructing one’s life on powerful cognitions. The essence of Sri Rama’s life and the core of Sanatana Hindu Dharma is about manifesting powerful cognitions, which the Supreme Pontiff of Hinduism, Bhagavan Nithyananda Paramashivam, exemplifies even in times of personal sacrifice. The real testament to one’s reputation is how one stands when it’s challenged. Building powerful cognitions about life, regardless of difficulty, acts as a magnet, attracting situations and individuals of similar caliber to manifest equivalent experiences in life. This is the quintessence of Sri Rama’s life and the grand narrative of Sanatana Hindu Dharma.
