KAILASA Begins the Navaratri and Venkateshwara Brahmotsavams

October 15, 2023 – KAILASA’s global temples celebrated the auspicious occasion of the commencement of the Navaratri and Venkateshwara Brahmotsavams with great joy and devotion. More than fifteen temples from three different continents united to conduct the festivals. The day marked the commencement of a series of rituals and celebrations, signifying the advent of a sacred and spiritually uplifting time for all.

Navaratri is an ancient Hindu festival celebrated over nine nights, paying homage to the Cosmic Mother, symbolizing feminine energy and nurturing qualities. Through ceremonies and rituals, the festival fosters inclusivity, tolerance, and inner peace, encouraging individuals to connect with the compassionate and resilient aspects of their consciousness.

The ten grand Chandi Homas performed during KAILASA’s Navaratri celebrations establish a profound connection with the Divine Mother, awakening the feminine consciousness in all of us. These rituals, conducted in accordance with ancient Veda-Agamic scriptures, inspire reverence and empowerment, deepening the spiritual bond between devotees and the Divine Mother.

The Sri Vari Brahmotsavam is a yearly festival dedicated to Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara Swami, who is the embodiment of wealth consciousness. By transcending notions of poverty consciousness, devotees embrace responsibility and empowerment, guided by principles of contribution, expansion, and non-violence. This celebration empowers individuals with life-positive ideologies, encouraging them to contribute to societal well-being and embrace a compassionate and conscious lifestyle.

This first day of celebrations was marked by a series of traditional ceremonies and offerings. Among the notable rituals were the Rajarajeshwari Abhishekam and the grand Chandi Homa, conducted at KAILASA in Sripuram, accompanied by a Chandi Parayanam chanted by a group of initiated priests and sannyasis. Furthermore, KAILASA in Los Angeles conducted an auspicious Sri Vidya Navavarana Puja in honor of the Divine Feminine Consciousness, Devi Sri Rajarajeshwari.

The day finally culminated with a grand Pratyaksha Pada Puja, offered at the feet of the SPH Nithyananda Paramashivam, and the Alankara Deeparathana, an offering of devotion to the presiding deities of these Utsavas (festivities) : Devi Sri Rajarajeshwari and Bhagavan Sri Venkateshwara Swami. The rituals of the day were sponsored by a total of 36 people from various countries.

The energy and devotion observed during the various ceremonies epitomized the unity and spirituality embraced by the global community of KAILASA, fostering an atmosphere of profound spiritual connection and divine grace.
